The Cliffs of Moher
Traveling south from Galway we stopped at what would become one of the highlights of our trip: the well known Cliffs of Moher. Some of you may remember these as the Cliffs of Insanity from the movie The Princess Bride.
Just breathtaking, the cliffs rise 390 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and reach their maximum height at 702 feet.

We walked along the cliffs edge for over an hour.
That's O'Brien's Tower in the far distance.
Parts of the cliffs allow you to walk right along the edge with no barrier between you and a very long fall. I have to admit, it was a little scary. There was a sign posted that warned us not to trespass however many people, including us, walked by the sign.

We did see lots of sheep near the cliffs although they weren't super close to the edge!
